Native Utility Token
THEO Token
THEO is the native utility token of the Autheo network, powering every layer of the platform, from validator staking and decentralized compute to AI inference, storage, transaction fees, and post-quantum identity.
THEO is a utility token, not a governance token. It is used for validator staking, compute payments, storage allocation, AI inference, transaction fees, and identity operations across the Autheo ecosystem.
See the glossary for definitions of THEO-related terms.
THEO Token Use Cases
Every layer of the Autheo platform runs on THEO
Staking & Validator Rewards
7.5% of total supply (~525M THEO) distributed to validator node operators over 7 years. Sovereign nodes earn 187,969 THEO/year.
Decentralized Compute
Decentralized compute workloads through the Autheo Marketplace are planned to use THEO as they roll out on mainnet over the coming months.
Decentralized Storage
Decentralized storage payments through the Autheo Marketplace are planned to be denominated in THEO as the storage layer rolls out. Post-quantum cryptography is not yet threaded into the live system.
AI Inference & THEO AI
THEO is planned to power on-chain AI inference, while THEO AI is being built as a distinct orchestration layer for DevHub. Both are rolling out over the coming months.
Transaction Fees & Network Access
THEO is the exclusive gas token for all Autheo network interactions: transactions, smart contracts, and cross-layer operations.
TheoID & Identity
THEO is planned to register sovereign identities, issue verifiable credentials, and access TheoID-gated network services as TheoID rolls out. Its post-quantum cryptography is not yet threaded into the live system.
